Each order we receive is delivered to our order fulfillment server. Each order may be unique containing any number of items. Each order is automatically entered into our database or we will manually process and enter mail orders.

Our multi station pick and pack line accesses our product fulfillment database via computers that are at each product fulfillment station. The order fulfillment worker uses a scanner to request a new bar code. A bar code is then printed for the order that is to be fulfilled. The order fulfillment worker then puts the bar code on the shipping box.

The order fulfillment worker will scan the barcode that is now on the shipment box. The computer will then display on the screen what items from that fulfillment station will need to be put into the box. As the order fulfillment worker scans each item our order fulfillment software removes the items from the list on the screen. If the order fulfillment worker scans a wrong item or two many items the order fulfillment software displays a red flag and prevents them from going any further with that order or any new order. The order fulfillment worker will then need to scan the product removal barcode on their station and scan the product(s) to be removed to resolve the error handling quality assurance measure.

When the order fulfillment worker is finished at their station the order is moved down the conveyor belt to the next product fulfillment station. The package will continue down the product fulfillment line until it reaches the end. At the end of the product fulfillment line the order is given two shipment labels, one for inside of the package and one for outside of the package. It doesn't stop there!

Next the package will either be directly shipped or palletized. When the order is palletized it is associated with a pallet which has a bar code and a specific location. This enables us to locate the order amidst tens of thousands of orders promptly if need be. While in our hands the precise location of the order is known until it is received by the shipper or customer.
